Live Virtual Teacher Academies:
A Springboard for the New School Year
Teacher Academies are virtual mini–conferences that allow schools or districts to select the content that aligns with their priorities and needs. Multiple strands can be created so that participants in different roles are all engaged in different sessions at the same time. Examples of possible strands include new teachers, experienced teachers, coaches, and school leaders. Just like a real conference, participants can choose which sessions to attend and simply click the link to join the live interactive session at the designated time.
Keep the learning going all year long by adding virtual or in–person coaching and metrics such as RigorWalk that will gauge implementation and provide guidance on any adjustments needed. Schedule a meeting with one of our expert Educational Solutions Consultants to develop a virtual conference and 2022–23 SY implementation plan to get the most out of your pre–service professional learning days.
Sample Academies
Consider going more in-depth with longer sessions spread out over multiple days. Any sessions in these examples may be exchanged for alternatives from our extensive catalog. Up to 35 participants may
attend each live virtual session.
The cost is $650 per session hour for most workshops and you can apply your federal funds (American Rescue Plan, CARES, or ESSER).
